Tasmania Living

Project Manager

Tasmania Living weaves together the stories of homeowners who have discovered Tasmania’s lesser-known treasures, navigated its complex history, and embraced a slightly “off-the-grid” lifestyle. The book celebrates homes that integrate style, design, and a connection to local community into everyday living, offering readers a visual feast of Tasmanian ingenuity.

As the project manager, I oversaw the entire production process, from the receipt of manuscripts and photographic materials to the final submission for printing.

My responsibilities included:

  • Acting as the primary liaison between the authors and publisher, fostering a positive and productive working relationship.

  • Developing the editorial brief and ensuring clear communication with in-house teams, including the publisher and production manager.

  • Coordinating with the copyeditor, designer, and proofreader to maintain quality and consistency throughout the production process.

  • Managing strict deadlines to ensure the manuscript’s timely delivery in all production stages.

  • Handling the sourcing, citation, and permissions for images, as well as creating paratextual elements like image captions, credits, blurbs, and cover copy.
