This book celebrates the 50-year legacy of the Sydney Opera House, bringing together the vivid memories of fifty artists and luminaries like Simone Young, Nick Cave, Sylvie Guillem, Briggs, Baz Luhrmann, and Carlotta, as they recount transformative moments within this iconic building.

As the project manager, I was responsible for guiding the process from the receipt of the manuscript and photographic materials to submission for printing. My duties included:

• Serving as the primary point of communication between the editor and the publisher, ensuring a collaborative and positive working relationship.

• Constructing the editorial brief and coordinating closely with in-house staff, including the publisher and production manager.

• Liaising with the copyeditor, designer, and proofreader throughout the production process to maintain the highest standards of quality.

• Managing multiple deadlines to ensure the manuscript’s timely delivery at various production stages.

• Overseeing the sourcing, citation, and permissions for all images, and facilitating the creation of paratextual elements such as image captions, credits, blurb, and cover copy.
